Jadeite

One of two distinct minerals commonly known as jade, jadeite has a rarer variety. Rich emerald-green jadeite, known as “imperial jade,” is the most highly valued. However, jadeite can be found in many colors and is well-suited for intricate carvings. Good to know: Myanmar produces the highest quality jadeite rivaled by none other places.
